Torunes Coffee since 1897 has been located in the beautiful hills of Palmaros, Alajuela, Costa Rica. The sweeping views from the coffee farm include three volcanos, and in the distance the Capital, San Jose. At night sitting out and enjoying the view you can see the lights of San Jose in the distance. Looking up the number of stars is just breathtaking.
Our family has been farming coffee since 1897. Their Torunes farm, located 1000 to 1200 meters above sea level is among a fraction of farms that have been certified fully organic. This means that they use no artificial pesticides or fertilizers.
The bean are selectively picked several times a season to harvest only those that are perfectly ripe. The result is a uniquely rich, smooth aroma and taste that only a few people have experienced.
