We want to share with you the beauty of the hillsides around Tarunes Plantation. Take time to walk the plantation and experience beautiful views, and plants.

 

The evening is special sitting outside in the still darkness you can enjoy listening to the night animals. With no ambient lights, you can see an unending amount of stars including the milky way.  In the distance are the glimmering lights of San Jose which is just 45 minutes away.

A Little History of Palmares

Palmares is a small town located in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It is well known for its annual festival in January, which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country. The festival is a  great celebration that features a variety of activities such as bullfighting, concerts, parades, and a traditional horse parade. Palmares is also home to several coffee plantations including the Tarunes that produce certified organic coffee.

 

The town of Palmares has a rich history dating back to pre-Columbian times when it was inhabited by indigenous tribes. It later became a farming community known for its agriculture.

 

Overall, Palmares is a charming town with a strong sense of tradition and community. Its annual festival is a testament to the town's enduring cultural identity and is a must-see for anyone visiting Costa Rica.

 

The town's natural beauty, coffee plantations, and historical significance make it a unique destination.  It is well worth a visit.
